Artist's Point

Grand Prismatic

One of the most visited attractions in Yellowstone National Park is the Lower Falls in the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. We spent a full day travelling to each of the viewing areas of the falls for the different vistas. One of the most visited areas is known as Artist's Point. Painters and photographers have come to this spot for years to view the grandeur of the Lower Falls for over 100 years. The name Artist Point is believed to have been given to this location around 1883 by Park Photographer F. Jay Haynes. Today it still has one of the best views of the falls and the canyon.
